Things I see as enjoyable to my eyes and my presence...
I attended a beautifully elegantly celebrated wedding
and this was her bouquet. Isn't that so tantalizing?
This is her centerpiece...
I got the flowers inside the vase.
Great color combination. I would have picked up the same and more...
Before the wedding, I ate at Sheraton Hotels Trader restaurant....
So filling and the drink is just right to make me feel a bit tipsy.
more like a History Art Gallery
I cooked my childhood candy recipe. I made a sweet potato candy but too soft to wrap it ( over boiled it) so I just made this little desert for the boys.
It was delish but Eddo did not go for the camote taste.
This is my red curry quickie.
I have the baby corn and brocolli and a couple of tomato slices.
Just guessing it would work...and so it did. Really turned up nice.
This is my order in Wildfire Restaurant at Yonge.
I think this is very homemade look. Nothing great on taste but it's ok.

This is at the little road in Essex near Holy Cross in Thornhill.
The street goes to rented warehouses and it s avery quiet corner. Beautifula and peaceful...
I wish I have a space there to live and to do business.
I was serve this wonderful dinner by a friend.
Really delicious. I think the best steak ever that is home cooked for me...
and it's like the great tasting steak at Ruth's Steak House.

The Chase...Last Night...

Last night...I continue the chase
to a dream of life in bliss
with you...blessed and content
flowers withered with pride
the grass ..cut with honor
the harvest were all abundant in color
the cloud is clearer and bluer....
Last night.. I remembered the chase
when you loved me more
and my fantasy fulfilled
always abundant in hopes
time and again feeling explored
wishes seems to come true
and the real one, my heart, has found
Last night... I surrendered the chase
when I slept alone
in my dreamland of tears and fears
clasping hope to get away
from the pain and empty waits
alone in the dark i wept
this chase...i learned is such a waste.

AN ARTFUL TABLE
...that Eddi did for an after Valentines lunch this past Sunday in our home. I cooked the tenderloin in rosemary and one with the teriyaki sauce. I oven grilled the crunchy asparagus...and voila ! The best home date lunch ever.
It may be a surprise to many...but I just am not a cook or anything that is about kitchen. So this writings of my kitchen arts and experiments and projects are really first time, new and fresh to me...and I love it! My son Eddi seems to be the one who is more interested in learning the baking and cooking so he is the one who is quick to help in the dining and kitchen activities.
Cookings and decorating will be part of this artsyhelen blog of mine. I believe that putting a flower vase, lighting the candles and or even burning the food is part and parcel of the love of arts...and preparing food and what goes around it is just one thing I (or my kids) can do some artful interpretation.

I enjoy the beautiful old plates I have. We, also, love the stemmed vintage glass for Eddo's nestea mixed in our beautiful cut glass pitcher(no to plastics). I don't bring out these precious little things I have for occassions . I tend to favor a lunch or dinner together a special one deserving of my best dishes and lovely inventive recipes. The ube ice cream is on a vintage cup topped with the hershey chocolate/peanut cream and rainbow candies. That dinner night, we added those georgeous beautiful collectable tea cups for our Japanese green teas. Next dinner night (Family day) has many candles surrounding our food... and a simple rice and steamed Tilapia. Gosh, now I'm hungry again.

Beginners Try (Attempts on Making Good Homemade Eats)
I tried cooking and baking last year on Thanks giving. This is just small meal made with lots of love and very beginner acts of kitchen conquering.
I love the fact that i used the organic ingredients in here. I am so crazy with the texture of gritty corn meal on the cornbread that turned up pretty well and delicious. I just cooked the carton version of stuffing and broiled the turkey halves in my mid sized over-toaster. It worked so fine and am so proud and happy with the result.
