Clever Style ay Home

Decorating and Designing for What You Already Have
It doesn't take much to decorate and design your living space ,with what you have. You may own lots of beautiful fashion jeweleries which you can pin in a beautiful cushion or a curtain that you don't usually open. There is not one rule just be tasteful in presenting them.
I am sure you have many souvenir photos from your trip to the zoo or park or outside the country that you are happy and proud of. These are photos you can enlarge or simply just print in 4x6 and have it framed according to the feel of the images or room where it will hang and be proudly displayed.

I have my bracelets and necklaces hang on my wine bottles or stems of silk flowers. I had my bowling ball on top of the hurricane style candle holder. I strung together the excesses Christmas's ornaments/balls with few ribbons and hang them on the tip side of the curtain rod for add on glamor shine. I love artsy way of doing and seeing things...even in gift wrapping

I still can't get myself to buy fake paintings and printed on paper photographs. I do make my own beautifully framed photographs and sketches or painting. I may not be the greatest or even that great in my arts but I am so happy I was able to make some from my hands without schooling and teaching from others. I am just happy to be able to feel the magic and having finish a work of art made from my instinct and feelings at the time I am into it...whether it's writing , painting and photography.

What does a girl have to do with a plain leather ornament horse?

Hang the fashion accessories on to add some flair.

A photo taken from a car on a Trip coming back from Ottawa 4 yrs ago It turned out like a painted view(without any photo editor) of the horizon and small pocket of forest.

Artistically made to look like a painting...perfect timing as a woman just finished her surf boarding and my 2 boys are running after the waves( will change pic without the glare)

taken at the Harbour in Halifax
off center to see the magnificence of the Naval Ship and blue waters.

A necklace imported in the Philippines which I bought in Montreal hanged over a beautiful Japanese Cook Book.

Personalize gifts

This just similar to the Christmas card i just gave to my friends at work....
I love making a personalize gift most of the time. I really think about it or make special time to find what is suitable for their taste or sentiments that will notbe easily forgotten. It doesn't have to be expensive but well thought off gifts last a long time in their memories, no matter how small and simple they are.

I integrated my love of arts and photography to most of my gifts if not the cleverness of my gift shopping. I just want them to have what last in their thoughts and/or what could be more useful.
I guess am a sentimental woman with thin wallet and rich creativity.

I love being thoughtful especially to people who genuinely care or love me and my kids. If they don't feel that way...I don't hold it against them yet If I like their company,I gift them with praise, prayers and nice thoughts, if am not buying or making something for them.

My works

I have sold many jewelries and other artsy crafts i made. I have not been doing any of it though since I started my other full time paying job. I did one more show and I should have been doing some Christmas show by next month and yet I have not done anything really new or at least remodelled and redesign some of my projects.

I am sad that this playful part of me is not being used and practice. I am sad that I am getting less energy and enthusiasm when I am still doing the motherly task of taking care of my kids.
I wake up at about 7 am and sleep at about 12 am. In between is my parenting, working and daydreaming happening in everyday of my new life.

I found some of my works and arts that i have or have sold...
Please enjoy these photos and see if you see something that caught your eyes.

Laundry Bag

I sew this last night and is happy how it turned out. I made a laundry bag from my stash of fabrics. This material has been in my sewing box for 7-8 years. It is made out of the same material as that of poly shower curtain. Easy to clean/wash and dry, very light and the design is nautically just right for wetting and beaching. This can be use as a big blanket, pillows and stuff toys ready to go bag. This is especially made for a friend whom when we went to their laundry depot...they have to carry the white bedsheet with all other bedddings cover in it.

This is an easy project which I finished in 30 minutes as I can't find my good shears/scissors.As you can see in the backround, I can make more projects out of it...simple ones I can finish quickly can be a grocery bag, another bigger laundry bag, small pocket bags for everything and maybe a gift bag too. It is reusable and great in keeping things together.

Materials used? Gray thread, scissors and my Brother sewing machine and some straight and a bit zigzag sewing and that thing you used to slide in the pocket to get in the handle/string made for closure.
